Role: Concept Creator; Art Director; Product Designer for a cultural and language learning initiative of the Yakama tribe.
Responsibilities: come up with playful interactive concepts on how to incentivize people and members of Yakama nation to learn Sahaptin language; create illustrations; put together UX wireframes; design UI; perform user testing; partner with members of the Heritage University Language Center.
This mobile application for Yakama Tribe helps to preserve Sahaptin language which is a part of Yakama heritage. The scope of work included interaction with the client, research, wireframes, a prototype creation, user testing, visual design, photography and illustrations. The project was created for Heritage University Language Center. I researched problems of cultural extinction and proposed to create an application that had a digital character who led the educational process and inspired to learn the language. An Invision early stages prototype can be experienced here.
