Online Event Experience.
Mobile App.
Boost with Facebook Summer of Support is a new initiative that Facebook launched globally to bring businesses of all types and sizes online and to help them restart, recover, and grow. Boost with Facebook online event gathered seasoned speakers, business and digital marketing experts, and Meta platform specialists to provide free tailored advice, training, and inspiration to businesses across the whole world. In keynotes and on-demand sessions attendees learned how to boost digital skills, combine creativity and the most fitting digital solutions, and get ongoing support to help their businesses leverage digital tools to establish themselves better and to increase reach and sales.
Connected with Online Communities More Than Ever Before.
Businesses were rapidly changing the way they serve customers, because of this Facebook launched free educational programming and entertaining thought leadership to get businesses inspired. Boost with Facebook focused on reimagining customer service and on creative reinvention of digital business approach. With the Boost with Facebook mobile app users could watch keynotes that were streamed live and also get access to the library of passed keynotes, on-demand sessions, and training videos. Through the app users could connect with like-minded peers, expand their network, and get free training and advice.
Welcome to Join from Home, from an Office, or from Anywhere Across the Globe.
The welcome experience demanded three steps: inspire, register, inform. Therefore I decided to divide it into three separate screen, so that users won't feel overwhelmed. The landing page was a first touch point with the event and was giving the mood of the Boost with Facebook brand. The second screen was a sign-in process. The third screen informed about the rules and event navigation. Call to action buttons had high contrast and stood out.
Boost with Facebook Brought People Together and Celebrated the Human Spirit.
The homepage gave the overview of the whole event experience. The first thing people saw was the current live keynote playing from an iframe. The audio was muted to avoid the effect of unexpected interaction, but seeing a live keynote right away was important to place users into the "going on now" moment. Further on the page the name of the next upcoming scheduled session was displayed as well as the full schedule. The "Schedule" UI design for the mobile had to be different from the desktop version due to nature of mobile devices. I introduced tabs and swipe motion to make it more efficient. When scrolling down users discovered sections that led to secondary pages like online event resources, training videos, an online group to network, virtual swag, event support, and an invitation to share the Boost with Facebook experience on social platforms. Even though businesses and customers were separated due to changing circumstances, Boost with Facebook let them connect on a different level and bring new unexpected business leads.
Moments that Inspire, Educate, and Uplift.
Keynotes and Sessions page was another instrumental piece of Boost with Facebook event. The live keynote was running at the top of the page inviting users to join. Users were able to comment real time during live sessions. Users had an option to filter sessions by date and time period to find videos that met their interests. Important notifications were running as a marquee text across all pages.
Deeper Dive to Success in the Digital Economy.
The second level of Boost with Facebook online experience consisted of a rich library of training videos, real-time event support, and a list of speakers. The users could filter training sessions based on main content pillars: Business Model, Brand, Communication with Customers, and Community. Each category had an assigned brand color. Color coded system was used to mark videos that relate to each category. It improved the search process.
Boost with Facebook online event helped communities stay strong and flourish in times of COVID disruption.
